Have you ever wondered why it is that humans have the ability to find things beautiful?

I don't mean why one person might find something beautiful, while others will not. I mean: why do we have the capacity to perceive and experience beauty in the first place? What advantage does this characteristic have for our survival? And do people who are unable to experience beauty exist?
