Monday musings

Photo: anonymous; found on a blog whose address has been obscured by the sands of time (and my poor record keeping...). It's one of those photos that draws you in, againg and again. The water looks so warm and I can almost feel it gently washing my skin... I know what sound it would make and how it would feel soaking through my clothes...
This is a brilliant, evocative shot. Just a bit mysterious and mad, like something out of an Ingmar Bergman movie;) And below, a loosely corellated poetic endavour:

Boudoir

I'm up to my elbows in
their skin

stretches

my impatience
to be wound
around your gaze

(my gloves have opposing thumbs
and according to my watch
they are much better at loosing
and will still be at the table
in the likely event of my absence).

On my way to take them off I stumble upon
my brush with eternity
and decide to leave my stockings on
for an easy win.

  1. I don't know... My first reaction to that shot is significantly more creepy. It reminds me of old crime-scene photos, a dumped murder victim out of L.A. Confidential or something. Just needs Danny DeVito to sneak past the police line to take the picture.
